Christine-Ann Richards - Exterior Works

This Gallery contains EXTERIOR WORKS: Large vitrified earthenware pots and water-features (fired to 1150 c.) for use in interiors, conservatories or gardens. Individually hand built using buff, terracotta and dark-brown coloured clays either singly or in combination according to clients requirements. The forms for some planters and water-features can be repeated. Larger works are made for Exhibition and to Commission. Much of Chris's work is illustrated in the book "Ceramics in the garden & landscapes" by Karin Hessenberg (A&C Black, 2000).

"The partition between house and garden has become less defined as we have opened our doors to eastern influences, so that the selection of work to be positioned within an interior can also be found outside. My work fits into both these catagories. The style and texture of work thus creating a continuity between both spaces.
